Social responsibility is fundamental to Latitude South. As a young company, our contributions are emergent, but sincere. Our commitment to social responsibility is more than corporate policy, it guides the way we live outside the office as well as how we operate within it.

We will update our website regularly with news and information relating to our initiatives, so that you can understand just how important it is to us that we give back to, and grow, our world.

Community

We seek to help our local and global communities by:

  • providing meaningful assistance to communities in the regions we live and work. Our guiding principle is to provide "a hand up”, whether through donations, volunteering our time or fundraising
  • giving back to New Zealand, the beautiful country that raised us, through the creation of employment opportunities and by providing a platform for talented New Zealanders to succeed on the global stage.

Environment

We care about the health and sustainability of our planet. Our commitment to minimising the impact of our business operations on the environment is evidenced in the way we have structured our business and by our everyday work practises.

For example:

  • we operate a paperless office where reduction and recycling are paramount
  • our legal consultants operate from satellite offices, sometimes in their own homes, reducing daily travel
  • we harness technology to interact with each other and to communicate and collaborate with our clients, including IM, WebEx, email, Skype and video-conferencing, significantly reducing energy consumption and air travel.
