We are a team of entrepreneurial, business-savvy former lawyers and project management experts.
Collectively, we have spent our working lives within some of best corporate legal teams, international law firms and investment banks around the globe. We’ve learnt from leaders in law and business and have, over the years, become experts ourselves, leading teams and solving challenging business problems on a daily basis.
Having returned to a latitude south, we’re using the skills and experience we’ve acquired, together with our desire for positive change, to take the delivery and performance of legal services to the next level.

The traditional means of procuring and providing legal services is no longer the only option out there. Richard Susskind, in his book "The End of Lawyers? Rethinking the Nature of Legal Services"* challenges lawyers:
"...to introspect, to ask themselves, with their hands on their hearts, what elements of their current workload could be undertaken differently - more quickly, cheaply, efficiently, or to a higher quality - using alternative methods of working."
Here's the thing. We already know what these "elements" are. In fact, we've been successfully providing them remotely for the last 5 years.

Our Culture and Work Environment
Our internal culture is one of support, collaboration and respect.
We've created a company full of experienced, talented professionals who willingly share knowledge and who are genuinely motivated by the interesting work they perform, and the new way they perform it. To us, diversity and inclusion are more than a marketing sound bite.
We have drawn many members of our New Zealand-based team from a talent pool we call the "London girls". Our London girls are senior, professional women with years of UK legal experience and expertise to offer who require an innovative work structure because of family commitments.

At Latitude South, we have actively recruited these London girls because we recognize the amazing contribution these professionals can make by continuing to leverage their wealth of UK legal know-how upon return to New Zealand.
