Many of our New Zealand-based legal consultants come from an in-house background. Having been “the client” before, we focus on delivering value and finding solutions, not on billing hours.

Our innovative, results-focused approach to delivering legal services creates a relationship focused on your outcomes, not our inputs. Unless you really want us to, we will not bill you by the hour. When pricing legal services we focus on the scope of the task and the results you want to achieve, not the time it may take us to perform your work.

Your benefits

Put simply - you get access to senior UK legal expertise at junior level prices, and our fixed fee structure provides certainty of legal spend. We stand by our ability to accurately scope your work based on years of experience performing legal services. However, if we fail to scope your work properly, or neglect to take the time to understand your business objectives or drivers, our fee remains the same.

Our approach to pricing confers a number of benefits on you including:

  • the ability to accurately forecast legal spend and/or pass on the savings (and the price certainty) to your clients
  • the freedom to ask questions without having to make an investment decision every time - we don’t charge for answering your call
  • efficient use of funds – you don’t need to keep a provision for variable fees
  • understanding which tasks, activities and services we are responsible for delivering, and when
  • the ability to measure the success of our services.

We know from experience which legal tasks, activities and processes can be successfully provided offshore.

Through a previous consulting company, one of our Directors, Larissa Glubb, successfully provided remote legal services to an international law firm headquartered in London and a multinational IT solutions provider based in Texas, USA.

The quality of our team cauterizes duplication of work in high-cost locations, and limits review loops that increase the “all-in” cost of outsourcing and act as a barrier to quick turn-around times. Responsiveness

Responsiveness is a core principle of our company and one we are very proud of. You should expect responsiveness from your legal services provider as a right. (Our own experience with some legal service providers tells us how frustrating non-responsiveness can be!)

Our working practises are designed to make our progress on your work transparent. We utilize web-enabled project management and reporting tools and other relevant technologies to maximize collaboration, communication and transparency.

Of course, a simple text or email may often be the most effective way to give you the comfort you need on progress!
